這幾天,雅思官方了發(fā)布了一組《2023年雅思官方最難的50組詞匯》,有多難呢?

abrogate /'æbr?ge?t/

英文解釋:to fail to do what is required by (something)

中文解釋:失職
e.g:The company's directors were accused of abrogating their responsibilities.

 

belie /b?'la?/

英文解釋:to give a false representation to; misrepresent

中文解釋:給人以假象

e.g:Her energy and youthful good looks belie her 65 years.

英文解釋:persuade by flattery or coaxing
