根據(jù)英國移民政策規(guī)定，來英國居住超過6個(gè)月以上的、年齡超過16歲的中國留學(xué)生，必須在抵英后的7天之內(nèi)到當(dāng)?shù)鼐炀肿?。這個(gè)要求會在簽證上標(biāo)明“Police Registration within 7 days of Arrival in UK”的字樣，只要簽證上有這個(gè)標(biāo)記的，都需要去警局進(jìn)行注冊。
有些英國大學(xué)會在校園里面統(tǒng)一為學(xué)生安排警察局注冊，你只需要準(zhǔn)備好學(xué)校要求的資料，然后坐等警察來收集就好。
但是，如果你錯(cuò)過了學(xué)校安排的注冊時(shí)間，或是你的大學(xué)不安排注冊，那就需要你親自前往警察局進(jìn)行注冊了。
你需要帶上這些：
- 護(hù)照原件
- 英國簽證紙和BRP的原件
- 兩張護(hù)照照片
- 學(xué)業(yè)證明材料(比如你的offer letter)
- 填好的申請表(警察局的官網(wǎng)就可以下載到)
- £34現(xiàn)金(有些地方不找零)

倫敦的同學(xué)們注意，凡是在倫敦地區(qū)的學(xué)生都必須去Overseas Visitors Records Office注冊。非倫敦的孩子，可以先問下學(xué)校具體在哪個(gè)警局注冊，給你們貼幾個(gè)警察局的信息。

如果有什么任何變化，要及時(shí)通知警察局：
- 住址有所變動
- 就讀院校有所變動
- 結(jié)婚或者生孩子
- 簽證期限延長
- 換了新護(hù)照
注冊完畢后，警察局給你的那張注冊單一定要保管好，弄丟了補(bǔ)辦的時(shí)候仍然需要繳納£34，且續(xù)簽的時(shí)候需要出示這個(gè)注冊證明。
再補(bǔ)充一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)：如果不按照要求去注冊的話，續(xù)簽可能會比較麻煩。如果你有什么變化沒有及時(shí)通知警察局，輕則會收到口頭警告，重則會在你的注冊單上蓋紅章，到時(shí)候續(xù)簽就需要你拼人品了。
