|概況

香港理工大學(xué)（英語：The Hong Kong Polytechnic University，PolyU），簡稱理大，是一所坐落于香港的公立綜合性研究型大學(xué)。學(xué)校成立于1937年，為香港歷史最悠久的大學(xué)之一，是香港8所受政府大學(xué)教育資助委員會(huì)資助并可頒授學(xué)位的高等教育院校之一，中俄工科大學(xué)聯(lián)盟成員高校。

在2016-2017年的QS世界大學(xué)排名中，香港理工大學(xué)排名世界第111位，香港第5位，其中在計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)領(lǐng)域位居世界49位。2015年，英國QS亞洲大學(xué)排名將香港理工大學(xué)列為亞洲第27位，香港第5位。根據(jù)2015年《美國新聞與世界報(bào)道》（US News）大e學(xué)排名，學(xué)校在工程學(xué)上位列全球大學(xué)第9位，全港第1位

學(xué)校位于九龍紅磡的主校園占地約94,600平方米，共有教職員3,621名，注冊學(xué)生32,229人。1937年至2014年間，學(xué)校共培育了超過35.5萬名畢業(yè)生，

科技轉(zhuǎn)移

學(xué)校於1999年成立了企業(yè)發(fā)展院，2012/13年度，理大科技及顧問有限公司為約350家機(jī)構(gòu)提供了約530項(xiàng)顧問服務(wù)，總業(yè)務(wù)收入逾1.1億港元。理大自2006年起，七度獲香港中小型企業(yè)總商會(huì)頒發(fā)“中小企業(yè)最佳拍檔獎(jiǎng)”。截至2013年6月，學(xué)校與合作伙伴簽訂逾160項(xiàng)協(xié)議，讓他們特許使用理大開發(fā)的新科技。

學(xué)校亦推行獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)計(jì)劃鼓勵(lì)創(chuàng)新發(fā)明，并重視維護(hù)知識(shí)產(chǎn)權(quán)，截至2013年6月，學(xué)校獲得逾150項(xiàng)專利，另約370項(xiàng)發(fā)明正進(jìn)行專利申請，2013/2014年度，學(xué)校處理了76份專利權(quán)申請書，正式提交專利申請共67份，獲得的新專利發(fā)明共49項(xiàng)。此外，學(xué)校還成立了一項(xiàng)“理大微型基金計(jì)劃”，為理大學(xué)生、校友提供種子基金，以激勵(lì)創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)意思維，支持他們創(chuàng)立個(gè)人事
