香港城市大學(xué)（City University of Hong Kong），簡稱城大（CityU），是一所坐落于香港九龍?zhí)恋墓⒀芯啃痛髮W(xué)，是香港特別行政區(qū)政府資助的八所大專院校之一，獲教育部列入國家重點(diǎn)高校名單，為中俄工科大學(xué)聯(lián)盟成員高校。

學(xué)校原為1984年在九龍旺角建立的香港城市理工學(xué)院，1995年獲政府授予自我評(píng)審資格，并更名為香港城市大學(xué)，1997年在原威靈頓中學(xué)舊址設(shè)立九龍灣分校。

根據(jù)2016年英國QS大學(xué)排名，城大位居全球第55位，亞洲第7位，并被評(píng)為全球最佳50所創(chuàng)校未滿50年的大學(xué)第4名。在上海交大ARWU世界大學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)排名中，城大在工程領(lǐng)域位居全球24位，在社會(huì)科學(xué)與理科領(lǐng)域位居全球100-150位，學(xué)校的數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)科位居全球22位，計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)位居45位。

據(jù)2016年1月學(xué)校官網(wǎng)數(shù)據(jù)顯示，位于九龍?zhí)恋男@總面積共15.6公頃，學(xué)校開設(shè)7個(gè)學(xué)院的130多個(gè)專業(yè)學(xué)科和1個(gè)研究生院，在校學(xué)生約20,000人，其中6500人是研究生，教職員工逾4000人。

創(chuàng)新課程

城大推行“重探索求創(chuàng)新課程”，讓學(xué)生有機(jī)會(huì)參與原創(chuàng)性科研工作，激勵(lì)學(xué)生求知熱忱，并培養(yǎng)其創(chuàng)新能力；必需修讀的“精進(jìn)教育科目”為學(xué)生補(bǔ)充主修科目以外的基本知識(shí)，拓寬視野、啟發(fā)思維；主修科目中加入“跨學(xué)科”元素，使學(xué)生涉足各知識(shí)領(lǐng)域，全面發(fā)展。

教學(xué)模式

城大商學(xué)院2005年通過國際管理教育協(xié)會(huì)（AACSB International）的入會(huì)評(píng)審，確認(rèn)其目標(biāo)為本的教學(xué)研究具高質(zhì)素，是當(dāng)時(shí)大中華地區(qū)第3個(gè)獲得此認(rèn)證的商學(xué)院；2007年獲得歐洲評(píng)審組織（EQUIS）認(rèn)證。

科學(xué)及工程學(xué)院2012年始，與美國哥倫比亞大學(xué)聯(lián)合推出雙學(xué)士學(xué)位課程，成績優(yōu)異的學(xué)生將于城大及哥倫比亞大學(xué)的綜合學(xué)科學(xué)院分別學(xué)習(xí)兩年，學(xué)成后將獲兩校分別頒發(fā)某一主修學(xué)科的榮譽(yù)理學(xué)士學(xué)位。

法律學(xué)院與英國牛津大學(xué)學(xué)院，澳洲莫納什大學(xué)法學(xué)院及美國哥倫比亞大學(xué)法學(xué)院分別簽訂了合作協(xié)定，開設(shè)“環(huán)球法律教育認(rèn)知課程”。常邀請國際知名法律學(xué)者來港授課，或以視像會(huì)議的形式。首創(chuàng)帶學(xué)分的實(shí)習(xí)科目，安排學(xué)生到本地的跨國律師事務(wù)所、非政府機(jī)構(gòu)或內(nèi)地法院實(shí)習(xí)。講座授課以大班為主，導(dǎo)修課以小組教學(xué)。鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生參加國際模擬法庭比賽，開設(shè)具學(xué)分的國際法庭辯論及訟辯科目供學(xué)生選修。學(xué)生可參與《香港城市大學(xué)法律評(píng)論》這份期刊的編輯工作。

    The MSPACG programme aims to provide an active learning environment to develop students for leadership positions in the professional accounting and corporate governance area in Hong Kong and the Greater China region. Programme Intended Learning Outcomes (PILOs) Upon successful completion of this Programme, students should be able to: Apply creative and critical thinking, analytical, qualitative and quantitative skills to business problem solving with special reference to accounting and governance functions. Explain, analyze and apply relevant rules and regulations related to accounting and corporategovernance issues. Recognize ethical dilemmas and legal issues and respond appropriately by applying relevant ethical and legal concepts and codes of ethics issued by relevant authorities. Apply creative and critical thinking in solving accounting, corporate governance and related business problems using a multi-disciplinary approach. Communicate, work and manage themselves effectively both independently and within a team environment.
