The MA Translation aims to: ? Enable students to develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the prevailing theories and practices of translation through intellectual and interactive enquiry and advanced translation practice; ? Provide grounding in the field of Translation Studies, defined as theory and practice, that will enable students both to undertake independent research and/or to work as professional translators; ? Accounting is concerned with the provision of economic information for both internal and external organisational stakeholders. This degree is designed for students who intend to enter the accounting profession and as such contains considerable practical content, as well as essential theory in the various specialisations of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing, Taxation and Finance.

The Accounting with French programme teaches accounting and business finance in an organisational context with a focus on corporate financial decision making and corporate governance. It integrates French-language modules taught by the School of Arts, English and Languages. You will gain practical knowledge and understanding of the preparation of accounts and financial techniques, their interpretation and use in a variety of contexts to an advanced level. Alongside this you will study key aspects of management, relevant to your future career.

The Accounting with Spanish programme teaches accounting and business finance in an organisational context with a focus on corporate financial decision making and corporate governance. The BSc Actuarial Science and Risk Management programme has been designed by qualified Actuaries to enable students to develop the theoretical and practical skills required to pursue a career as an Actuary or as a professional in the financial industry. In addition, students may gain up to eight exemptions from the professional exams required to qualify as an Actuary via our accreditation with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
