A TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based test) or 213 (computer-based test) or 79 (internet-based test); or
An overall band score of 6 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic); or
A College English Test (CET6) score of PRC, normally not lower than 430; or
Other equivalent qualifications in English.
Applicants should have obtained a recognized Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent. An undergraduate degree in economics or related areas is not a pre-requisite. Students with a solid quantitative background and interest in economic analysis are encouraged to apply.
The courses in the programme will be taught through a face-to-face mode. Students enrolled in the MSSCIED programme are expected to complete the study in either one academic year on a full-time basis or two academic years on a part-time basis. Part-time students who need more than two years to finish the Master’s programme will need to seek approval from the Dean of the School of Arts and Social Sciences.

MPAF applicants to the programme must satisfy the following entry requirement:a recognized degree in a business-related area (or equivalent); ORa recognized degree in a non-business area (or equivalent), plus at least three years of supervisory/managerial experience.
This programme is designed to provide non-accounting graduates with solid training in principles and concepts related to professional accounting, and equip them with the skills and judgement for their application in a range of business contexts and situations.
On completion of the compulsory courses, an alternative route is provided for students who can choose to exit the programme with an award of Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Accounting (PDPA).
MPAF applicants may also enter the programme through Pathway 1 if he/she meets the following entry requirement: a recognized Master’s degree in business or a related area (or its equivalent).
