Degrees from the Open University of Hong Kong are recognized by the Hong Kong Government. Full-time degrees from the University are also recognized by the mainland China authorities. Graduates of this programme may use this qualification as a component of the qualification requirements stipulated by the Education Bureau (EDB) of the Hong Kong Government for English language teachers in local schools.
