Students must meet the following selection requirements for entry to the Graduate Certificate of Education and the Master of Education:
?A recognised Bachelor degree and a postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. Graduate Diploma of Education or Master of Teaching).
OR
?A four year pre-service teacher education qualification, including professional experience, equivalent to the qualifications required for Graduate teacher status in NSW.
An applicant who submits evidence of other equivalent academic and professional qualifications may be permitted to enrol in the degree.
Students studying a masters degree in Educational Studies will complete 48 units of credit including the following:

In order to be admitted to the stream, a student would be expected to hold a Bachelor of Engineering with at least Honours II/2 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or hold a Graduate Certificate of Engineering with at least a credit average or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university or tertiary institution in order to be admitted to the program. Relevant disciplines considered for entry include electrical engineering, as well as photovoltaic and renewable energy engineering where a sound foundation in electrical energy systems is provided.
Those without such a qualification are required to argue their prior learning is equivalent to this qualification. For example, a 3- or 4-year Bachelor of Engineering or Science combined with relevant discipline experience may be recognised. For Electrical Engineering -related streams, this experience could be for example a sustained design, testing or commissioning role in a multi-year technical project, or a multi-year sustained technical consulting role.
As with all streams under the Graduate Diploma of Engineering Science, the Energy Systems specialisation is underpinned by the attainment of disciplinary and advanced disciplinary knowledge. This stream offers a broad range of theoretical- and applications-based electives within the discipline of energy and power systems engineering, including smart-grids, power electronics for renewable energy engineering, power system analysis and protection, high voltage engineering, power systems planning and economics, and electrical safety. Such a choice allows students the gain a depth and breadth of knowledge across several themes.
The stream provides a solid postgraduate program for electrical engineers wishing to upgrade their skills or further their knowledge
You will need to have graduated from a recognised four year bachelor degree or equivalent in appropriate cognate discipline, or have graduated from the new Urban Development and Design Graduate Certificate of Built Environment. Admissions are also open to graduates of a recognised three year undergraduate degree in Architecture studies.
The Master of Urban Development and Design (Extension) (96 UOC) builds on the existing Master of Urban Design and Development (MUDD) program.

Bioinformatics is an emerging discipline at the convergence of computing and the life sciences, aimed at the development of technologies for storing, extracting, organising, analysing, interpreting and utilising the 'tsunami' of genetic information being generated. The need to process and analyse vast amounts of information requires advances in both software technologies and hardware architectures.

1. Have met the requirements of a four year Bachelor degree or a Bachelor degree with Honours with a major a management or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution; or
2. Have met the requirements of a Graduate Diploma from UNSW with a major in a management discipline or a related discipline or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution; or
3. Have met the requirements of a three year Bachelor degree at pass level, which includes a major in a management discipline or a related discipline, from a recognised tertiary institution, and have completed at least three years relevant full-time work experience; or
4. Submit evidence of academic and/or professional qualifications and/or related work experience which is determined by the relevant Program Authority to be acceptable grounds for admission into the degree, such as:
i) Have met the requirements of an Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree as pass level and have completed at least three years relevant full-time work experience in a management role; or
ii) Have met the requirements of a TAFE/VET Diploma and have completed at least five years relevant full-time work experience, including at least three years in a management role; or
iii) ADFA Officers with no undergraduate degree - 3 years experience at Lieutenant/Sub-Lieutenant/Flying Officer rank or 4 years experience at Captain/Lieutenant/Flight Lieutenant rank; or
iv) ADFA Non-Commissioned Officers with no undergraduate degree - 4 years experience at Chief Petty Officer / Warrant Officer Class 2 / Flight Sergeant rank
The Master of Logistics Management is designed for logistics managers working in the private, public and Defence sectors who wish to gain a thorough understanding of logistics concepts and techniques. The program will enable students to learn advanced logistics planning strategies, to design and implement logistics life cycle management, inventory management, contingency forecasting, distribution, and reverse logistics. This program will also emphasize developing students' understanding of analytical tools and systems for logistics information flow management including big data analysis and business intelligence techniques.

The Master of Engineering Science program is designed for engineers and graduates wishing to develop and expand their knowledge and skills in their current area of expertise.* This will enable students to meet or maintain professional accreditation standards and to provide opportunities for continuing professional development, as well as the opportunity to interact with those at the cutting edge of their discipline. Students will develop their technical knowledge and ability to analyse engineering problems. They will also gain further skills in solving engineering problems and justifying professional decisions.
Students will have the chance to work on a complex, open-ended enquiry-based project. This will develop their systematic approach to a problem and require project planning and the ability to analyse, interpret and communicate results proficiently. Entry is open to students with a four year non-accredited (under the Washington Accord) Bachelor of Environmental Engineering degree or equivalent with a minimum 65% average.* Alternatively, eligible applicants include those who hold a three year Engineering Science degree, at least equivalent to the first three years of a relevant Environmental Engineering degree accredited under the Washington Accord.
The stream of Environmental Engineering enables students to specialise, and gain depth of knowledge across a broad range of areas, including project management, transport engineering, geotechnical engineering, water resources, waste and waste water treatment.
