The Master of Community Eye Health offers specialised training in a range of areas, including the following aspects of the community eye health field: needs assessment, health economics, epidemiology, advocacy, and the “Vision 2020: The Right to Sight” global initiative. The program comprises 48 units of credit, 36 of which are gained by successful completion of six compulsory courses. 12 units of credit are gained by completion of a research project. The courses are offered fully online, while the research project may be conducted: in Hyderabad, India under direct supervision by LVPEI faculty and with co-supervision by UNSW faculty; at UNSW under direct supervision by UNSW faculty and co-supervision by LVPEI faculty; or at the candidate's preferred location subject to satisfactory supervisory and co-supervisory arrangements and facilities.
