In the equine science component of the program you will study the nutrition, reproduction, exercise physiology, health and rehabilitation, welfare and behaviour of horses and explore the interaction of horse and rider. This scientific knowledge is then applied to an industry setting to improve the management, performance and welfare of leisure horses and equine athletes. The study of equine science will give you exposure to the scientific and practical aspects of the horse industry.
