The Bachelor of Sustainable Agriculture (Honours) provides students with the opportunity to pursue an independent research project within the Agronomy, Horticulture or Livestock and Poultry Science fields under the supervision of an Agronomy, Horticulture or Livestock and Poultry focussed academic staff member. In addition, students will acquire skills in research methodologies, research communication and entrepreneurship which will enable them to continue into a research higher degree or move into a diverse range of employment opportunities.
Queensland Year 12 or equivalent English, Mathematics B plus one of Chemistry or Physics.
Bachelor of Science/Education students complete two degrees in less time than if each was studied separately. The Bachelor of Science provides the content knowledge for two teaching areas whilst the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) provides the necessary skills, knowledge and practical experiences required for teacher registration and employment.

Bachelor of Science students are able to make flexible choices from a broad based set of courses in their first year which lay the foundation for access to a specialised major by their third year. The Bachelor of Law degree includes a core of prescribed courses and a range of electives. Compulsory areas include contracts, torts, criminal law, equity and property.

Do you have a passion to work in Animal Health and Welfare? In the Bachelor of Veterinary Technology you will study animal handling, welfare and behaviour, clinical aspects of small and large animal health, veterinary surgical nursing principles, and veterinary practice management.
Bachelor of Veterinary Technology or equivalent non-UQ AQF level 7 degree.
This program will comprise an honours year tailored to Veterinary Technology graduates, and follows the introduction of the Bachelor of Veterinary Technology from 2016. It provides advanced training in clinical, regulatory, diagnostic or other para-professional streams applicable to veterinary technologists, as well as training in research. The advanced clinical training will involve working in either the University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital or an approved, external placement.

Wildlife Science at UQ Gatton focuses on whole animal biology and the management of wild animals, including their ecology and conservation. As a wildlife scientist you will study native and exotic amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals in their natural or man-made environments, their biodiversity, and the emerging issues associated with human-wildlife interactions.
