The two-stage program with the AGSM MBA Hong Kong comprises a Graduate Diploma
in Management (six core and two elective courses), followed by the MBA stage (eight
elective courses).
During the first stage of the program you will undertake six core courses covering
the foundations of management. You then complete two elective courses to fulfil the
requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Management (GDM). You may then graduate
with a GDM or, if you have a weighted average mark of 65 per cent or more, you may
proceed to the MBA stage.
To gain your MBA you will successfully complete 16 courses. We offer the flexibility to
complete your MBA in as few as 1.5 years or as many as 7 years.
The AGSM Graduate Diploma in Management (GDM) is the first stage of the AGSM MBA (Executive). It provides the foundation knowledge required for completion of the AGSM MBA (Executive). By providing a thorough grounding in the core business disciplines, students are prepared to move beyond functional areas and to begin to view organisations holistically, and to prepare students for leadership positions. This strategic focus is followed through in the second stage of the AGSM MBA (Executive), the Strategic Management Year.
The program requires students to study two single teaching specialisations, or one double teaching specialisation from those methods listed above. Applicants require a recognised Bachelor degree with studies in the relevant teaching specialisation(s):
The Master of Teaching provides preservice teacher training for graduate students and an advanced initial secondary teaching qualification for both government and non-government schools in New South Wales and in all other states in Australia. It is also widely accepted as a teaching qualification overseas.
The entry requirement for the MMSM is one of the following:
?A Bachelor of Science degree with a weighted average mark (WAM) of 65 or greater. The BSc degree may be in any discipline of Science; OR
?A Bachelor of Science Honours degree in any Science discipline; OR
?A Bachelor of Science degree with a WAM of 50-65 plus at least 5 years professional experience in a relevant field of marine science or environmental science; OR
?Any degree with an appropriate Science major with numerical or data handling skills plus at least 5 years professional experience in a relevant field of marine science or environmental science.
The Master of Marine Science & Management (MMSM) is a 12 to 18 month full-time program depending on the grant of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and is normally taken as a 72 Unit of Credit (UoC) program, full-time or part-time. The program can be taken in 48 UoC (1 year full-time equivalent) subject to RPL (e.g. a Bachelor of Science (Honours) or equivalent industry experience).
For the 1 year full-time (or 2 years part-time) program (with credits)
Category A - To be eligible for the program (with credits), you need to have:
? A recognised bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) in commerce or business with a credit average as determined by the UNSW Postgraduate Coursework Entry Calculator; and
? At least 2 years full-time relevant professional and marketing experience; and
? Demonstrated competency in business statistics
Category B - To be eligible for the program (with credits), you need to have:
? A recognised bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification), as determined by the UNSW Business School; and
? At least 5 years full-time relevant professional and marketing experience; and
? Demonstrated competency in business statistics, and evidence of formal marketing training
For the 1.5 years full-time (or 3 years part-time) program (without credits)
Category C - To be eligible for the program (without credits), you need to have:
? A recognised bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) in commerce or business with a credit average as determined by the UNSW Postgraduate Coursework Entry Calculator; and
? A major (at least seven courses) in marketing or related discipline within the bachelor degree; and
? At least 1 years full-time relevant work experience.
